Clients (a good group of agency folks from LA and brand stewards from the Midwest) and our crew settled in for some long working hours on a soon-to-be-named project this week. Our studio is normally the epicenter of animation, but it became the epicenter of the best Portland lunches delivered. What goes well with midnight/midday oil? Everything edible. (The Sterno fumes still linger as we finish off the leftovers.)
Here's a taste of what we have been eating.
Salt & Straw - Melon & Prosciutto was a bit strange. You actually chew meat piece with your ice cream. Coffee & Bourbon won our hearts.
Voodoo Doughnut - Tourists love this place. This guy had a little voodoo accident...
Podnah's Pit - The best barbecue outside of Texas.
Koi Fusion - Korean tacos inspired by LA's Kogi Korean BBQ Taco Truck and one of Portland's first foodie-worthy carts.
Boke Bowl - Yep, those are hi-brow twinkies, which are a perfect end to a ramen & buns.
The Honey Pot Bakery - Bad name, great pastries like these "Pop Tarts."
Porque No? - Tacos and bowls Mexiland (Portixo?) style with natural ingredients and big taste.
