Animation Producer

General Summary

The Producer initiates, coordinates and oversees all aspects of production on assigned projects and campaigns.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partners with Director and Executive Producer during bidding to create production plans and pitch presentations.

  • Primary contact with agency producer and other agency/client associates and responsible for maintaining positive relationships.

  • Responsible for the fiscal management of projects, forecasting costs bi-weekly to maintain financial oversight. Reviews financial metrics with HOP throughout production.

  • Works closely with directors and HOP to assure proper staffing of jobs and performance of staff during production to assure creative goals are met.

  • Regularly reviews and resolves conflict issues relating to budget expenditures and schedule status.

  • Oversees production support staff and allocation of resources within a particular project.

  • Ensures all necessary lines of communication are open and working, both internally and externally. Responsible for communicating changes in schedule and/or scope with Head of Production and crew and works closely with EP and HOP to maintain integrity of budget, schedule and client relations.

  • Actively safeguards HouseSpecial’s proprietary and confidential Information.

  • Performs all necessary functions needed to wrap the job, including final review of the production process and PR materials.

  • Availability to cover pitch and project needs and client events during day and evening hours.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of working as an animation producer.

  • Knowledge of traditional 2D, Stop Motion, and CG animation processes, as well as Live-Action.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat and Shotgun.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with creative individuals.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and knows how to delegate, when necessary.

  • Ability to communicate in a constructive, proactive manner.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Ability to juggle various priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment.

  • Available to address bidding and production needs as they arise.
