In a city known for leading trends and producing well-known indie clothing designers, Lindsey Reif and her studio REIF (German for ripe) are growing an international fashion following the hard way. She works it while holding down a day job at our studio.
(Above is a limited edition turban featuring bold, geometric prints inspired by Bauhaus. Lindsey collaborated with surface design studio, Pattern People.)
During regular business hour, Lindsey is the production assistant at LAIKA/house. She's the one who makes sure the clients are happy and people are comfortable. When she's not at work, she's sewing her original designs to sell in local boutiques and online... lots of turbans, dresses and sportswear.
She's also tried out for Project Runway four times and she's from Deadwood, S.D.

Lindsey's fashion tip: "Don't be afraid to try things that you normally aren't used to wearing. They might look good on you."
