Q&A with Johnny

Johnny has an interesting geographical history starting in South Korea then to New Jersey then to Savannah and now to Portland with a fresh Bachelor of Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design.

What inspires you?
Mom and Dad. I owe everything I will ever accomplish to them. 

Why did you pick a career in animation?
I wanted a career where I wouldn't dread Mondays.

Thoughts about Portland?
Hey it's sunny! Let me just get my camera...... oh it's raining. 

What is the future of animation?
I hope animation continues to spread into new genres in film and television.

When will you know that you’re successful?
I think if you are happy and you've made people around you happy, you were successful for that day. 
 
When you were 6, what did you think you’d be when you grew up?
I'm pretty sure I wanted to be a Power Ranger. 
 
What’s your biggest failure so far?
2004 Philadelphia Eagles, Super Bowl XXXIX
 
Why did you apply for the HouseSpecial internship?
I loved their short, A Tale of Momentum and Inertia (2014), and wanted to be a part of that creativity.
